Begin your trip to Kochi by exploring the Kochi Fort, a testament to the blend of Indian and European architecture. The church has beautiful paintings and frescoes on its walls. The last visit of the day will be Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom situated in Vallarpadam. It is a well-known tourist attraction and pilgrimage site, known for the beautiful and sacred architecture of Mother Mary.
Begin the day by exploring Mattancherry with a blend of street food and traditional handicrafts. Then head towards Marine Drive and witness the enthralling sight of the Arabian sea and the Jewel of Kochi – Backwaters. Finish off the day by shopping souvenirs or indulging in some authentic Indian spices from the Spice Market in Kochi.
If you have more time, you can experience a traditional Kathakali dance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre in Kochi or enjoy a boat ride through the backwaters. If you have less time, skip shopping in Mattancherry, choose either Cherai Beach or Fort Kochi Beach and Paradesi Synagogue, and keep St. Francis Church on your list.
