Kochi 4-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Kochi Fort and Beaches

    Begin your trip to Kochi by exploring the Kochi Fort, a testament to the blend of Indian and European architecture. Roam through the vivid neighborhoods surrounded by ancient walls and constructed pathways. After exploring the fort, head towards the beach – Cherai Beach and Fort Kochi Beach. Enjoy a relaxing evening walk by the mesmerizing Arabian sea and watch the iconic sunset that will make your jaw drop.

  2. Day 2: Museums and Palaces

    Start the day by visiting the Hill Palace Museum which has a colossal museum complex with over 49 buildings that represent traditional architecture. It showcases numerous archaeological discoveries and artifacts. From Hill Palace Museum proceed to Mattancherry Palace, also known as Dutch Palace, a beautiful palace (not open on Fridays) that was built by the Portuguese and later acquired by the Dutch. After the palace tour, head to Paradesi Synagogue which is a Jewish heritage site located in the busy market area of Mattancherry.

  3. Day 3: Churches and Cathedrals

    Begin the day by visiting St. Francis Church which is the oldest European Church in India. The church has an alluring white-washed exterior and wooden interiors that will leave you spellbound. From there, head towards Santa Cruz Cathedral located in Fort Kochi which is a stunning 500-year-old church with a mix of European and Indian architecture. The church has beautiful paintings and frescoes on its walls. The last visit of the day will be Basilica of Our Lady of Ransom situated in Vallarpadam. It is a well-known tourist attraction and pilgrimage site, known for the beautiful and sacred architecture of Mother Mary.

  4. Day 4: Must-Visit Attractions and Shopping

    Begin the day by exploring Mattancherry with a blend of street food and traditional handicrafts. Then head towards Marine Drive and witness the enthralling sight of the Arabian sea and the Jewel of Kochi – Backwaters. Finish off the day by shopping souvenirs or indulging in some authentic Indian spices from the Spice Market in Kochi.
