Two Days of Family Fun in Salzburg

  1. Day 1: Schloss Hellbrunn and Hohensalzburg Fortress

    Start your day at the Salzburger Zoo, located near the stunning Hellbrunn Palace. The zoo is home to over 1,200 animals, including lions, tigers, and bears. Be sure to catch the daily seal show and the bird of prey demonstration. Next, take a short drive to the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, where you can explore the beautiful Baroque gardens and let the kids run around the hedge maze. In the palace, marvel at the stunning Marble Hall and see where the Von Trapp children sang "Do Re Mi" in the movie, The Sound of Music.

If you have less time, you can skip the Salzburger Zoo and Mirabell Palace and Gardens on Day 2 and spend more time exploring Salzburg Old Town. There are plenty of museums, restaurants and cafes in the area to keep you busy for the day.
