Trimbakeshwar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in the quaint town of Trimbak near Nashik. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is built in the Nagara architectural style. It's believed that the temple's Jyotirlinga is one of the 12 most powerful Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Legend also has it that the sacred Godavari river originates from this very spot. Visitors can take a dip in the holy waters that are believed to purify the soul and cure ailments.
If you have more time, you can extend your stay in Nanded and explore some of its local markets, such as the Gandhi Chowk Market and the Shri Sai Market. If you have less time and prefer shorter drives, you could skip visiting Trimbakeshwar Temple and visit the omnipresent Pandav Leni Caves in Nashik instead. These ancient rock-cut caves depict tales from the Mahabharata and are situated amidst lush greenery.
