Visit the majestic Athirappilly Waterfalls, one of the largest waterfalls in India. Trek down to the bottom of the falls for a refreshing swim or take a boat ride on the Chalakudy River. Afterwards, head to the nearby Vazhachal Forest for some more trekking and wildlife exploration.
Explore the adventurous side of Kerala with a day trip to Wayanad. Go on a trek to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad, or visit the Edakkal Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you have extra time, consider adding a day trip to Alleppey for a houseboat ride through the scenic backwaters. Or, if you have less time, skip one of the locations - we recommend skipping Athirappilly Waterfalls because it is quite far from the other locations. Don't forget to bring comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Finally, always check the opening and closing times of the locations to ensure they are open when you plan to visit.
