Next up is the Chowmahalla Palace. This palace served as the residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad for over 200 years. Explore the courtyards, halls, and gardens that have been beautifully restored to their former glory.
No trip to Hyderabad is complete without trying the world-famous Hyderabadi biriyani. Head on to Paradise Biriyani to feast on this delicious dish that is loaded with spices, flavors, and aroma. Enjoy the local atmosphere as you sample other local delicacies like haleem and kebabs.
After lunch, visit the magnificent Golconda Fort. This fort was built in the 16th century and it served as a strategic military fortress. The highlight of the fort is the Sound and Light show in the evening that takes you through the history of the region.
Wrap up your day with a visit to the Salar Jung Museum. This museum houses one of the largest one-man collections in the world with over 43,000 art objects and antiques. There are several galleries that showcase everything from Persian carpets, European paintings, jade carvings to Indian miniatures, manuscripts, and furniture.
