Two-Day Itinerary for Vellore

  1. Day 1: Vellore Fort

The fort has a moat surrounding it and is made of granite stones. The main attraction of the fort is the Jalakandeswarar Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visitors can also see the Government Museum, which has a collection of sculptures, bronzes, and weapons from different periods of history.

  2. Day 1: Sri Lakshmi Golden Temple

    The Sri Lakshmi Golden Temple is a magnificent temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth. The temple is famous for its golden structure, including the main tower, the vimana, and the kalasam, which are all covered in gold foil. The walls of the temple are decorated with paintings and sculptures of various gods and goddesses. Outside the temple, there is a garden and a pond where visitors can relax and enjoy the scenery.

    The Archeological Survey of India Museum is a museum that displays the artifacts and excavations of the surrounding areas. Visitors can see ancient pottery, coins, sculptures, and other relics of South India. The museum also has a section for temple architecture and showcases the construction techniques used in South Indian temples.

  4. Day 2: Amirthi Zoological Park

    The Amirthi Zoological Park is a beautiful park located in the Vellore district that has a variety of indigenous plants and wild animals such as spotted deer, peacock, porcupine, and tortoise. It is an excellent place for nature lovers and photographers.
