Start your first day with a local legend, the Baba Dhansar temple. Located in a charming wooded area, the temple's highlight is the waterfall where you can take a dip and purify yourself in its natural mineral water. The temple's main deity, Lord Shiva, is also worshipped here. You can also indulge in some shopping of handicrafts and trinkets made by locals around the temple.
On your second day, visit the Krimchi Group of Temples, which are located amidst picturesque rice paddy fields and orchards. There are a total of four temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Ganesha. Their architecture is similar to that of the Temple of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. Next up, visit ISKCON Udhampur, which is home to Radha-Krishna deity. You can immerse yourself in the teachings of Hare Krishna devotees and chant with them in blissful atmosphere.
If you have more time, you can explore the Udhampur Fort or other temples in the area. For food, try Rajma Rice, Yakhni, and Hass Aloo, a famous traditional dish. However, if you have less time, you can skip Baba Dhansar and visit the Hari Niwas Palace or the Devika River, famous for its mythological significance instead.
