Start your trip by visiting the Golden Temple, which is the holiest Gurudwara for Sikhs. The temple is surrounded by a beautiful lake and has a unique architecture. Take a stroll around the temple and witness the soulful prayers. Enjoy the famous Langar and taste the authentic Indian meal served in the temple.
Visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh that is a mark of the tragic incident that occurred on 13 April 1919. Explore the walls that still hold the bullet marks. Afterwards, head to the Partition Museum- home to collections and stories related to the 1947 partition of India.
Visit Ram Bagh- a beautiful garden which was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, and is separated into several sections. then head to the Wagah Border- the only road border crossing between India and Pakistan. Tiger safari is also available at this location.
On the final day, visit either Anandpur Sahib or Bathinda Lake. Anandpur Sahib is known for Sikh heritage and temples while Bathinda Lake is a water reservoir and is known for the beautiful serene surroundings. Both locations offer various activities such as boating, fishing, and sightseeing.
If you have more time, explore the historic wildlife sanctuary in Abohar or the beautiful Attari Border. With less time, you can skip Anandpur Sahib or Bathinda Lake. Be aware of the crowd and heavy traffic while visiting all locations and reach an hour before opening time to avoid wait time. Don't forget to carry a water bottle and sunscreen.
