Start your day exploring the Kollimalai Hills, a scenic mountain range known for its breathtaking views, lush green forests, and serene atmosphere. Trekking and hiking are popular activities here since the hills have well-paved trails surrounded by stunning valleys. You can also visit the Akasa Ganga Waterfalls located at the foothills of the mountain where you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the waterfall pool.
On your second day, head over to the Namakkal Fort, a historic monument built in the 17th century. Located atop a hill, this fort offers a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding hills. You can also visit the Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple, a popular Hindu temple located at the base of the fort, which is known for its intricate rock carvings and sculptures.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Agaya Gangai Waterfalls, located 20 km from Kollimalai Hills. It is famous for its pristine waters and is an excellent spot to relax and take a dip. If you have less time, consider skipping the Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple, since you can get a stunning view of the temple from the Namakkal Fort.
