Transportation

To travel between towns in Cinque Terre, you can take the train or hike. If you plan to hike, make sure to wear comfortable shoes and pack plenty of water. The Cinque Terre Hiking Trail Pass allows unlimited access to the trails. The pass can be purchased at any of the train stations. Trains tickets can be purchased at the stations as well or online. If you are coming from outside of Cinque Terre, Pisa International Airport is the closest airport.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Church of San Francesco in Monterosso or taking a wine tour in Corniglia. If you have less time, you can skip Portovenere and spend an extra day hiking the trails. Remember to bring sunscreen and a hat as the sun can be strong in the summer.
