The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous churches in the country. It's a perfect place to delve into Goan history and culture with the preserved remains of Saint Francis Xavier being the main attraction. You should visit early in the morning to avoid the big crowds and scorching heat. The nearby St. Augustine's Tower and The Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception is also worth visiting if you have some extra time.
Dudhsagar Falls is an absolutely breathtaking waterfall located on the Mandovi River from a towering height of 310 meters. You can undertake a jungle trek or take a train ride to the falls from Kulem Station. The best time to visit this spot is during the monsoons when the water flow is at its peak, and you can take a dip in the freshwater pool nearby. Go with a guide who knows the area when you take a hiking trail, and wear comfortable shoes.
Anjuna Beach is a true Goan paradise with its white sandy beach, clear blue sky, and stunning red rock formations. This spot is known for its upbeat nightlife, water sports, and flea markets. You can chill and enjoy the scenic beauty of the beach or go for some adventurous activities such as surfing, parasailing, and jet skiing. Try some authentic Goan cuisine at the shacks and indulge in a few drinks.
If you have more than three days, visit some of the other beaches like Baga or Calangute. You should also rent a bike and explore the countryside for some stunning panoramic views. And if you have less time, then skip Dudhsagar falls - although beautiful, it takes a lot of time and effort to reach there.
