Old Goa was the former capital of Portuguese India and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, where the remains of St Francis Xavier are kept, and the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. Don't miss the Archaeological Museum and Portrait Gallery, which houses artifacts from pre-colonial times. End the day with a sunset boat cruise on the Mandovi River.
Start your day with a dip in the Blue Lagoon at Cola Beach. Then, head to Palolem Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Goa. If you're feeling adventurous, sign up for a kayaking tour of the small islands around the beach. After lunch, visit the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can spot various species of birds, deer, and monkeys. End the day with a bonfire on the beach at Agonda.
Start your day at the Anjuna Flea Market, where you can browse through stalls selling everything from clothes to spices. Next, visit the Fort Aguada and Chapora Fort, both of which offer stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Have lunch at one of the shacks on Baga Beach, and then head to the Mapusa Market, where you can buy local handicrafts such as pottery and brassware. End the day with a sunset at Vagator Beach.
If you have more time, add a visit to the Dudhsagar Falls, where you can swim and go on a train trek. For a more cultural experience, visit the Shantadurga Temple and the Mangueshi Temple. If you have less time, skip the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary and the Mapusa Market. Also, be sure to carry cash, as most places do not accept cards.
