    The Chain Tree is an iconic monument in Wayanad that tells the story of a tribal youth named Karinthandan, who was betrayed and killed by a group of British officials. The tree, which is believed to hold Karinthandan's spirit captive, has chains hanging from its branches. Visitors can learn about the story in detail from the guides and witness the chains that have been rusting for centuries

  4. Day 2: Edakkal Caves

    Edakkal Caves, situated at an altitude of 1200m above sea level, is a pre-historic site with stone-age carvings and engravings dating back to 6000 BC. Visitors need to trek to the top of the Ambukuthi Hills to reach the caves and can witness panoramic views of the surrounding hills, forests, and paddy fields. It is advisable to book a guide for a better understanding of the carvings and engravings.

    Also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, Soochipara Falls is a three-tier waterfall situated in the Vellarimala mountain range.
