Start your day by heading to Fort Kochi Beach, one of the most famous beaches in Kerala. Enjoy the sea breeze and take a dip in the Arabian Sea. For lunch, head to any of the shacks on the beach and relish some seafood. After that, take a walk to the nearby Princess Street, known for its colonial-era buildings. Here, you'll find several antique shops, boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. Spend some time browsing through them and pick up some souvenirs. In the evening, head back to the beach shacks, where you can enjoy some food and drinks under the stars.
On day two, head to Alleppey, also known as the "Venice of the East". Here, you can enjoy a houseboat cruise through the picturesque backwaters of Kerala. Marvel at the natural beauty of the lush green surroundings, paddy fields, and coconut trees. The houseboat comes equipped with a kitchen, and you can relish some traditional Kerala food while cruising. In the evening, head back to Alleppey and enjoy some seafood at any of the restaurants on the beach.
If you have more time, you can explore the nearby Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, or visit the Jewish Synagogue and Jew Town. For those with less time, skip Princess Street and spend more time at the beach. Make sure to carry sunscreen and beachwear. If you're traveling during monsoon season (June-September), bring an umbrella or a raincoat. To skip the crowds, visit in the off-season (January-February).
