The first day of your trip to Goa will take you to the region's cultural and spiritual hub, Old Goa. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest and most famous churches in India. Proceed to Se Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Catherine. The afternoon is reserved for a leisurely stroll through the historic city's winding streets, visiting the Museum of Christian Art, and other architectural marvels from the Portuguese era.
No trip to Goa is complete without visiting the beaches. The second day will take you on a journey to splash in the sun and enjoy the sea. Start your day at Anjuna Beach, famous for its flea market, shacks, and street art. Next, head to Vagator Beach, where you can find beautiful red cliffs and a less crowded landscape. Conclude your day with a visit to Calangute Beach, one of the busiest beaches in Goa.
Spend the third day exploring the more tranquil side of Goa, South Goa. Start your day with a visit to the Shantadurga Temple in Ponda, one of the largest and most famous temples in Goa. From there proceed to Chapora Fort, which offers a panoramic view of the adjoining sea. Conclude your day with a visit to the Naval Aviation Museum, which provides insight into the Indian Navy's history and showcases various planes and helicopters.
Your final day in Goa has lots of adventure in store. Begin with a hike to Dudhsagar Waterfall, one of the highest waterfalls in India. After that, go to the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can indulge in a thrilling jungle safari. Conclude your day with a relaxing sunset cruise down the Mandovi River, taking in the beauty and tranquillity of western India's coastline.
If you have more time, you can add a day trip to Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort, or to the beautiful and serene Butterfly Beach for some scuba-diving or snorkelling. If you have less time to spare, you may combine Day 1 and Day 3 to cover both regions of Goa on a single day or opt for the famous Spice Plantation Tour, which is a half-day trip on the outskirts of Goa.
