The trek is reasonably challenging, but the views along the way are well worth the effort.
Drive to Meghamalai, a mountain range known for its scenic beauty and is also a growing hub for adventure sports in Theni. Here, you can indulge in various activities such as trekking, mountaineering, and river crossing. Meghamalai is also popular for its tea plantations, which are spread over vast areas of the mountains. A visit to a tea estate would be an excellent way to experience the serene beauty of nature. If you have more time, you can visit the renowned Suruli Falls that is situated 53 km away from Theni Town. Tourists are prohibited from visiting the falls during the monsoon season. You could also visit the Vaigai Dam, which is considered as the lifeline of Theni district, to catch a glimpse of the magnificent architecture of the British era. If you have less time, you can skip the Tea Estate visit and directly head to Meghamalai for adventure activities.
