  1. Day 1: Thredbo Village
    2 hours (105 km) from Canberra

    Thredbo is a popular ski resort nestled in the Snowy Mountains. Located in the Kosciuszko National Park, it is a great base for exploring the park's numerous walking trails in the summer. Take a leisurely hike to the top of Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko. The views at the summit are breathtaking. Or, take the chairlift and then hike to the top. The village also has a variety of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes.

  2. Day 2: Skitube to Perisher Village
    25 minutes (13 km) from Thredbo Village

    Take the Skitube from Thredbo to Perisher, Australia's largest ski resort. Even in the summer, Perisher offers a variety of activities, including mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlift rides. Take a guided hike to Blue Lake and marvel at the crystal-clear water. Or, take a horseback ride through the beautiful alpine meadows. The resort is also home to several restaurants and cafes.

If you have less time or want a more relaxed trip, consider skipping the hike to Mount Kosciuszko and spending some quality time in Thredbo village.
