Candolim Beach is one of the quieter beaches in Goa, known for its serene and calm atmosphere. Walk along the sandy beach, take a dip in the water, or relax in the sun. There are several shacks along the beach, perfect for a mid-day snack.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus is a 16th-century church that contains the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. The interior of the church is ornately decorated with paintings and sculptures, and there is also a small museum documenting the history of the church.
One of the tallest waterfalls in India, Dudhsagar Falls is a stunning sight to behold. The falls are located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park, so you can also take a nature walk or wildlife safari while you’re there.
Built in the 17th century, Fort Aguada is a Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. The fort is well-preserved and offers panoramic views, making it a popular tourist spot. There is also a lighthouse on the premises that offers a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area.
A weekly market that takes place every Wednesday, the Anjuna Flea Market is the perfect place to shop for souvenirs and trinkets. There are also several food stalls selling local Goan cuisine and live music performances throughout the day.
If you have more time, consider adding a day trip to the nearby town of Old Goa to see more historic churches and architecture. If you have less time, you can skip the Anjuna Flea Market or Fort Aguada.
