Nature Adventure in Wayanad

  1. Day 1: Meenmutty Falls

    Start your day with a refreshing waterfall visit to the magnificent Meenmutty Falls, located deep in the forest of Wayanad. Take a 2-kilometer trek through the lush greenery to reach the three-tiered waterfall that drops down from 300 meters.   2. Day 1: Chembra Peak

    After lunch, head to the heart of Wayanad district to trek the highest peak in the region, the Chembra Peak. Capture panoramic views of the lush valleys, sparkling streams, and the tea gardens along the way. The highlight of the trek is the heart-shaped lake, located halfway to the peak, which makes for a perfect photo opportunity. The trek is an 8km round trip and takes approximately 4 hours. Carry enough water, snacks and wear comfortable shoes as the trail is challenging.

  3. Day 2: Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary

    Start your second day with a visit to the beautiful Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary, an ideal place for bird enthusiasts or nature lovers. Trek through the enchanted forest to reach this haven of avian species of over 200 different birds and other wildlife. Listen to melodious chirping and sounds of birds echoing in nature's orchestra. The sanctuary is closed during monsoons; check the opening and closing timings beforehand.

  4. Day 2: Kuruva Island
    45 minutes (20km) from Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary

    Spend the rest of your day on a serene island hopping experience on the beautiful Kuruva Island, a group of uninhabited islands amidst the calm river filled with pristine greenery and peaceful surroundings. Walk through the floating bridges, witness the crystal-clear waters, and feel the soothing breeze. You can also indulge in some kayaking, swimming or just relax in nature's lap. Do not forget to carry enough water and snacks as there are no available shops on the island.
