Arrive at Kodaikanal and check-in at your hotel or homestay. Coaker's Walk is a scenic, paved pedestrian path named after Lt. Coaker who commissioned the path in the 19th century. The walk is around a kilometre long and offers a panoramic view of the valley. Stop for a cup of tea or coffee at one of the stalls.
Start your day early to catch a glimpse of the mesmerising view at the Dolphin's Nose. Once a Viking ship captain who sailed the Indian Ocean, Dolphin's Nose later became a trekking destination. Move on to Guna Cave - a cave formed between two large rocks that were popularized by the film Guna. Head towards the serene Kodaikanal Lake where you can go boating or take a walk around the lake. Silver Cascade Waterfalls is another place which you must visit, with its milky white waters cascading down 180 ft.
Wake up early for a visit to Pillar Rocks, towering at 122 metres tall from the ground. The rocks are natural formations that inspire awe and offers a great view of the surrounding landscape. You may visit the Tea Estate on the way to Pillar Rocks. Pack up and checkout from your accommodation. Time permitting, Bryant Park should be your next stop before leaving. With a huge range of flora, Bryant Park is named after a British forest officer who created the park in 1908.
For those with an extra day, visit the Berijam Lake which is known for its crystal clear waters or the Kukkal Caves located near Pachalur Village, both of which are offbeat but worth visiting. Visitors with less time may opt to visit only some of the places in this itinerary or may want to consider staying in Kodaikanal for only one or two days.
