Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earth dam in India and is surrounded by the Banasura hills. You can also take a speedboat ride on the dam's reservoir and enjoy the views from the water. The dam is a perfect place to spend a day with your family, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
If you have more time, you can also visit attractions like the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, Kuruva Island, and Chembra Peak. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can combine Pookode Lake and Banasura Sagar Dam into one day trip, or skip Banasura Sagar Dam and visit Soochipara Falls instead. However, do note that timings of these places change and some places might be closed because of maintenance or restraints at the specific time you visit.
