4-Day Adventure Itinerary in Wayanadu

  1. Day 1: Banasura Sagar Dam and Meenmutty Waterfalls
    1 hour (30 km) from Kalpetta

    Spend the day exploring the beautiful Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India. Enjoy a scenic boat ride and hike to the Meenmutty Waterfalls, a 2 km trail through lush green forests. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak and Soochipara Waterfalls

  3. Day 3: Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary and Bamboo Rafting
    1 hour 30 minutes (50 km) from Kalpetta

    Experience a thrilling jungle safari at the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. Spot elephants, tigers, deer, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. After the ride, go for bamboo rafting in the serene waters and enjoy a peaceful ride while spotting different species of birds. Don't forget your camera and binoculars.

  4. Day 4: Edakkal Caves and Wayanad Heritage Museum
    45 minutes (20 km) from Kalpetta

    Visit the ancient and mysterious Edakkal Caves, situated on top of Ambukuthi Hills, with built of three enormous boulders. These caves offer a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape from atop. Next, visit the Wayanad Heritage Museum which houses an excellent collection of artefacts, tribal art, and weapons. It is a great place for a history buff. Don't forget to buy souvenirs for your loved ones.
