The UNESCO World Heritage Site, Basilica of Bom Jesus, is a 16th-century church that houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier. After visiting the basilica, head to Old Goa which was the former capital of Portuguese India and visit the Se Cathedral, Church of St. Francis of Assisi, and the ruins of St. Augustine's Tower.
Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. The falls are best visited during monsoon season when it's in full flow. You can trek through the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park to reach the falls. Also, visit the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple, which is the oldest temple in Goa.
The Anjuna Flea Market is held every Wednesday and is popular for its handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. After spending the morning at the market, head to Aguada Fort, a 17th-century fort that overlooks the Arabian Sea. The fort was built by the Portuguese and has a lighthouse and a small chapel inside.
Palolem Beach is a picturesque beach located in South Goa with white sand and clear water. It's the perfect place for swimming and sunbathing. After spending the morning at the beach, head to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can see a variety of flora and fauna. The sanctuary has a few trekking trails, watchtowers, and a nature interpretation center.
If you have more time, you can visit other beaches like Baga, Calangute, and Vagator. You can also do water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, and kayaking. If you have less time, you can skip Dudhsagar Falls and spend more time at the beaches. You can also skip the flea market and visit Mapusa Market, which is open daily and is known for its spices and jewelry.
