Begin your journey with a visit to The Gateway, a monument synonymous with Chennai. Once you take in its beauty and history, head to Mahabalipuram Cave Temples, which are 7th and 8th-century temples with intricate rock carvings depicting events from the Hindu mythology.
Start your day with a visit to the sprawling Kishkinta Theme Park and spend a few hours exploring its many rides and attractions. In the afternoon, head to Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary, which is a haven for bird lovers. Here you can spot a wide variety of migratory birds.
On Day 3, explore Chennai's colonial past at Fort St. George, the first English fortress in India. After taking a tour of the fort, head to Marina Beach, which is one of the longest urban beaches in the world. You can take a stroll along the promenade or simply bask in the sun.
On your last day, visit Kapaleeswarar Temple, one of the oldest temples in Chennai, known for its Dravidian architecture and intricate carvings. Afterward, head to Government Museum, one of the oldest museums in India, and explore its vast collection of art, artifacts, and relics dating back to the Chola period.
