Aruba is a small island, and getting around is relatively easy. Taxis are readily available, but can be expensive. Renting a car is a great way to explore the island at your own pace, with rental prices starting at around $40 per day. Public transportation is also available, with buses running between major tourist areas.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to nearby islands like Bonaire or Curacao. For those with less time, consider combining some activities or skipping less interesting attractions. Be sure to bring sunscreen, comfortable clothing, and plenty of water for outdoor excursions.
The main airport in Aruba is Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), located just outside of Oranjestad. It is a relatively small airport, with easy access to ground transportation. It is about a 15-minute drive from the city center.
