    Visit the world's second-largest dome with amazing acoustics. Don't forget to climb the stairs for a bird's-eye view from the top.

    The largest mosque in Vijayapura, the Jami Masjid was completed in 1686. It is an impressive structure with 260 pillars and a central arch that is over 100 feet tall.

    This fort was built in the 16th century and is a great example of the Deccan Sultanate architecture. The fort houses a few other interesting monuments, including the Mehtar Mahal and Barakaman.

    The largest cannon in the world, Malik-e-Maidan delivers a deafening sound and could fire a 200-pound cannonball almost four miles away. It is also known as "The Monarch of the Plains."

  7. Day 7: Asar Mahal

    This Mahal served as a hall of justice and was built in the 17th century. It houses relics, including lockets and swords of Prophet Muhammad and his cousin Ali.
