Start the day with a visit to the Gateway of India, an iconic landmark of Mumbai overlooking the Arabian Sea and was built to welcome King George V and Queen Mary to India. From there, head to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) that takes you back to British India era and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic railway station is famous for its Victorian-Gothic architecture and is the busiest railway station in India.
Next, head to the Marine Drive known as the Queen’s Necklace because of the glittering lights that make it look like a necklace at night. Take a leisurely walk, sit and enjoy the sea breeze. After an early dinner at Bachelorr's Juice House, head to Chowpatty Beach, the most popular beach in Mumbai for its local food stalls, pony rides, and enchanting views of the sunset.
Embark on a half-day trip to the Elephanta caves a UNESCO World Heritage site located on Elephanta island, which is accessible only by ferry from Gateway of India. Engulf yourself in the intricate carvings, stone sculptures, and amazing architecture of Hindu God Shiva’s abode.
After Elephant caves, head to Sanjay Gandhi National Park to catch a glimpse of rich flora and fauna, including lions, tigers, and leopards. Then, make your way towards the Juhu beach, a popular tourist spot and savour some local chaat and street food. End the day with a visit to the nearby ISKCON Temple for and enjoy the serene atmosphere and arti.
If you have more time, do not miss visiting the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Haji Ali Dargah and experience Mumbai's nightlife at Bollywood's B-Town Club. For those having less time, skip Sanjay Gandhi National Park and Juhu beach from your plan and instead visit Crawford Market and Siddhi Vinayak Temple.
