Start your day in Old Goa, the former colonial capital of India, and home to many beautiful churches and cathedrals. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and holds the remains of St. Francis Xavier, the patron saint of Goa. You can also visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, and the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, which has a stunning interior covered in frescoes. Don't forget to try some local cuisine at one of the nearby restaurants.
Relax and soak up the sun at Anjuna Beach, a popular destination since the 1960s. The beach is known for its rocky outcrops and vibrant nightlife, with plenty of restaurants and bars lining the shore. You can also shop for souvenirs at the nearby Wednesday Flea Market, which sells everything from clothing to jewelry to handicrafts. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at water sports like parasailing and jet skiing.
Take a day trip to Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. The falls are in the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats and are surrounded by lush greenery. You can hike to the top of the falls for incredible views or swim in the natural pool at the bottom. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the breathtaking beauty of the falls.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the scenic Chapora Fort or exploring the beautiful Coconut Grove Beach. If you have less time, you can skip the Wednesday Flea Market or shorten your visit to Dudhsagar Falls. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as well as sunscreen and a hat, to beat the heat.
