Begin your day in Panaji, the capital city of Goa, renowned for its Portuguese-inspired architecture, colourful street art, and vibrant culture. Start with the 400-year-old Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and proceed to the nearby Fontainhas neighbourhood to experience the Portuguese style colourful houses, boutiques, art galleries, and cafes.
A visit to Goa is incomplete without enjoying the spectacular beaches. Begin by visiting Baga Beach famous for its buzzing shacks, cafes and stunning sunsets. Move to the serene Anjuna Beach with dramatic rocks and coves, followed by Calangute Beach known for its electric nightlife. Proceed to Vagator Beach with its unique landscape and end the day at Morjim Beach to admire Olive Ridley turtles and spot some dolphins.
This day, head out to Dudhsagar waterfalls, located on the Mandovi river. Take an early morning drive and trek through the dense forest to reach the 310 metres high waterfall, cascading on four levels. If you are feeling adventurous, take a refreshing dip in the natural pool at the bottom of the falls. Return back by sunset.
If you have more time, you can also consider visiting the Old Goa Churches, Fort Aguada, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. For food lovers, Goa offers a delicious seafood menu, including fish curry, prawn fry, and crab masala. If you have less time, you can skip the Dudhsagar Waterfalls or choose any one beach from the list. Don't forget to carry sunscreen, hats, and comfortable walking shoes, especially for the waterfall trek.
