2-Day Itinerary for Mantharayam, 2023

  1. Day 1: Raja's Seat
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Madikeri

    Raja's Seat is a beautiful garden which is located in the heart of Madikeri town. It provides a panoramic view of the hills and valleys of the Western Ghats. A perfect place to spend a morning or an evening, the garden is adorned with colourful flowers and sculptures. There is also a musical fountain show every evening.

  2. Day 1: Abbey Falls
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Raja's Seat

    A serene waterfall amidst lush greenery, Abbey Falls is a must-visit spot in Coorg. The sound of the waterfall is very soothing and the view is breathtaking. There is also a hanging bridge from where you can view the waterfall at close quarters.

  3. Day 2: Talacauvery
    1 hour 20 minutes (44.4 km) from Abbey Falls

    Talacauvery is said to be the origin of the Cauvery River. It is a sacred spot and has a temple dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temple is open only for a short duration in the morning, so plan accordingly. There is also a viewpoint nearby that provides a stunning view of the surrounding landscape.

  4. Day 2: Dubare Elephant Camp
    1 hour (30.9 km) from Talacauvery

    Dubare is an elephant camp on the banks of the Cauvery River where you can get up close with elephants and even give them a bath. It's an incredible experience and highly recommended. You can also take a coracle ride in the river and go for a nature walk in the surrounding forest.
