Start your day with a visit to Skandashramam, a tiny cave where Sri Ramana Maharshi meditated for many years. Located at the top of a hill, it offers a breathtaking view of the landscape surrounding Tiruvannamalai. After Skandashramam, drive to Gingee Fort, a historical fortification that saw many battles and changes of hands. Explore the ruins of the fort, including the Rajagiri and Krishnagiri fortresses. Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can explore some of Tiruvannamalai's surrounding areas, like Yercaud hill station, Pulicat Lake, and Chidambaram temple. If you're short on time, you can cut short the visits to Virupaksha Cave and Sathanur Dam. Ensure to avoid visiting the city or outdoor activities during Monsoons as the terrain and city are susceptible to floods.
