Day 2: Jaisalmer's Golden Fort
Start your desert exploration at the stunning Sonar Qila (15 min, 4.2 km) or The Golden Fort, one of the largest desert forts in the world. Stroll around its narrow lanes and admire its intricate stonework. Move to the Havelis (10 min, 1.5 km) to see the beautifully carved sandstone mansions. In the evening, Gadisar Lake (15 min, 2.5 km) offers a tranquil ending to your day.

Day 3: Udaipur's Lakes and Palaces

Day 4: Jodhpur's Blue City
Begin your day at the iconic blue Mehrangarh Fort (15 min, 5 km). Stroll around the beautifully preserved fort and enjoy the aerial views of the city. Walk down to the adjacent Jaswant Thada (10 min, 700 m), a white marble wonder and royal mausoleum. In the evening, lose yourself in the bustling Sardar Bazaar (15 min, 3.2 km), which sells everything from spices to textiles.

Day 5: Pushkar's Holy Ghats
Begin your day with the sacred Brahma Temple (15 min, 3 km), one of the few temples in the world dedicated to the deity, Lord Brahma. Walk down to the Pushkar Lake (5 min, 1 km), and take a dip in its holy waters while witnessing the morning rituals. Climb to the top of Savitri Mata Temple (15 mins, 2.5 km) for breathtaking views of the holy town. End your day experiencing the old-world charm of the town at its colourful and vibrant bazaars.

Day 6: Bikaner's UNESCO World Heritage Site
Begin your day with Junagarh Fort (10 min, 2.5 km), a rare example of a fort never captured. Walk around the fort and admire its intricate architecture. Head to the Karni Mata Temple (1 hr 40 min, 30 km), a temple famous for its 25,000 black rats worshipped as holy. In the evening, visit the Lalgarh Palace Museum (25 min, 7 km), a stunning blend of both Rajputana and European architecture.

Day 7: Alwar's Hill Fort and Palace
Begin your day by travelling to Alwar (4 hrs 30 min, 163 km). Visit the Bala Quila Fort (30 min, 9 km), a massive fort perched atop a hill. Explore the fort and admire the breathtaking views from the top. Move to the Vinay Vilas Palace & Museum (1 hr 20 min, 65 km), a 19th-century palace with its cool gardens and courtyards. End your day with the beautiful Siliserh Lake (10 min, 4 km), a man-made lake surrounded by Aravalli Hills.

If you have more time, add an extra day each in Jaipur and Udaipur to explore their palaces, gardens, and museums in detail. Add one day for a desert safari in Jaisalmer. If you have less time, consider dropping Alwar from the tour and focus on the "Golden Triangle" – Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. Rajasthan is well connected by train and road, making train journeys a unique experience. Avoid visiting in summers, and plan your visit during November to February for the best weather.
