Trek to the top of Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad, for a thrilling and adventurous experience. The trek is approximately 4 km long and takes around 3-4 hours. You will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings, including a heart-shaped lake. The trek is quite challenging and requires a good level of fitness, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry enough water.
Experience the tranquil beauty of Kuruva Island as you go on a bamboo rafting trip through the lush green forests and serene river streams of this uninhabited island. The raft ride lasts for around 2-3 hours. If you are lucky, you might spot some wildlife such as birds, deer, and elephants. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and carry insect repellent.
If you have more time, you can visit other popular attractions in Wayanad such as Edakkal Caves and Soochipara Falls. If you have less time, you can skip the Chembra Peak trek and visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary instead for a wildlife safari. Keep in mind that some activities might be closed during monsoon season (June-September), so make sure to check the weather conditions before planning your itinerary.
