Start your day by hiking up to the Chembra Peak, one of the highest peaks in Wayanad and a perfect destination for trek lovers. The trek is moderately challenging but the panoramic views from the top are worth the climb. After finishing the trek, refresh yourself at Soochippara Waterfalls, an enchanting three-tiered waterfall that attracts tourists with its natural beauty. Take a dip in the natural pool created by the falls or simply relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere.
Start your day early by visiting the Edakkal Caves, an important archaeological site with ancient petroglyphs dating back to the Neolithic era. The caves require a short uphill walk, but the unique carvings are worth the effort. For lunch, head towards Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India and a popular picnic spot. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the dam and the surrounding hills, or head out for some bamboo rafting.
If you have more time, consider visiting more waterfalls or trekking to other peaks such as Thusharagiri Falls or Brahmagiri Peak. Alternatively, if you have less time, you can skip the trek to Chembra Peak and opt for the shorter hike at Meenmutty Falls.
