The Virupaksha Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple has a beautiful gopuram and an intricate architecture. The Vittala Temple is a World Heritage site with beautiful stone carved columns and a musical pillar that emits different notes when struck. Nearby is the King's Balance, where Kings in Hampi were weighed against gold, which was later distributed to the poor. After that, visit the Queen's Bath, a well-preserved bathing place for the Royal women.
Take a trip to the nearby village of Anegundi where you can see the ancient cave paintings, the Anegundi Fort, and the beautiful landscapes of paddy fields and hills. After that, head towards the Sanapur Lake, a serene water body surrounded by boulders and palm trees, where you can relax and enjoy the view. End your day by visiting the Monkey Temple, a Hanuman temple where Monkeys run around freely.
If you have more time, you can visit other temples like Achutaraya Temple and Hazara Rama Temple. You can also go on a Coracle Boat ride on the Tungabhadra River and visit the Daroji Bear Sanctuary. If you have less time, you can skip Anegundi and the Monkey Temple, or just visit one of the architectural temples like Virupaksha or Vittala.
