The French Quarters is the most iconic and unique destination in Pondicherry. The narrow streets of the French Quarters have various buildings that showcase the French architecture and culture. Visitors can see villas, colonial homes, quaint cafes, restaurants, art galleries and much more. The architecture is something not to be missed. The mustard-yellow walls and green window panes are remarkable. The buildings around these streets have a lovely French façade. It's the perfect place to stroll and absorb Pondicherry's historical past.
Located north of Pondicherry, Serenity Beach is a quiet beach with crystal clear waters. It's perfect for those who want to surf, swim, sunbathe or read a book. The sunsets here are the most stunning and picturesque on the east coast, with palm trees and waves creating an ideal backdrop. There are many cafes, shacks, and surf schools along the beach where tourists can enjoy some local cuisine.

Matrimandir, an architectural marvel and the spiritual center of Auroville, is a must-visit. Visitors are allowed to enter the inner chamber of the golden sphere shaped architectural monument. Before visiting, make sure to check the website to book the sessions as per the availability of the space.
