The Agaya Gangai Waterfalls are a beautiful sight to see in the Kolli Hills region. These falls can be found in a cave, making the waterfalls unique and intriguing. The trek to the falls is about 3km long and can be completed within a few hours. This hike can get a little steep at times, but the final view of the waterfall cascading down the cave is going to awe-inspiring. Swimming or taking a dip in the pool waterfalls is also an option.
The Arapaleeswarar Temple is located on a hill overlooking the gorgeous Kolli hills range. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and features intricate carvings all around, making this temple an exquisite sight to behold. The temple has two main shrines, and it takes about 2 hours to see the entire temple. This temple will provide a sense of religious sanctity and spirituality while also allowing visitors to behold some beautiful stonework and sculptures.
If you have more time, consider visiting other places in the Kolli Hill region. Botanical Garden and Masila Falls are two other places of scenic beauty that can be visited. If you have less time, consider skipping the Agaya Gangai waterfalls. The temple is the main attraction in the region. Parking can be challenging at both locations, so plan accordingly. To avoid the crowds, consider starting early in the morning. Keep yourself warm, as temperatures can get chilly during the night.
