Paradise Beach is a perfect spot for family picnics or just chilling on the soft sand. The clear waters offer opportunities for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is accessible by boat from Chunnambar Boat House and perfect for a relaxing day out. The beach is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on all weekdays except for weekends when it closes at 6 PM. In the evenings you could visit the French Quarter of Pondicherry. Also, check out Green Salad Restaurant which is famous for its seafood.
If you have more time in Pondicherry, visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram which is dedicated to the philosopher, yogi, and poet, Sri Aurobindo. Next, go to the Pondy Bazaar for shopping or enjoy more beach time at Serenity Beach. If you have less time, replace Paradise Beach with the Botanical Garden which is filled with a variety of rare species of plants and trees. Do not forget to carry sufficient water and sunscreen for the trip.
