Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad with an altitude of 2,100 meters. It offers breathtaking views of the valley below. The trek to the peak is challenging but worth it. The trek starts at the foothill of the peak and goes through lush green forest cover. It takes around 4 hours to complete the trek. Camping is allowed at the top of the peak.
Banasura Sagar Dam is the largest earth dam in India and the second-largest in Asia. The dam is situated in the midst of lush green forests and mountains, offering a serene experience to visitors. Boating is a popular activity here that visitors can indulge in. Other than boating, one can also trek to the nearby hills or visit the nearby islands.
If you have more time, you may consider visiting Soochippara Falls, Edakkal Caves or Thirunelli Temple. If you have only one day, you can visit Chembra Peak and explore nearby tea plantations or coffee estates.
