Start your trip with a visit to the Fort Kochi Beach, which is known for its serene shorelines and stunning sunsets. Take a stroll along the beach, let your kids swim in the waves or just sit back and relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery around you. You'll find plenty of food stalls in the area where you can enjoy some local delicacies. After spending some quality time at the beach, head to the nearby St. Francis CSI Church, the oldest European Church in India.
After exploring the church, head to the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which is located nearby. This museum displays 16th-century Kerala's traditional architecture, murals, and artifacts, including exhibits on the Cochin Royal Family and Portuguese influence on the region. After exploring the museum, take a walk through the nearby Jew Town, which is abundant with antique stores and small shops.
Begin Day 2 with a visit to the Hill Palace Museum, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala, where you can learn about the history and culture of the region. Once the royal home of the Kochi Maharanas, the palace has now been converted into a museum, showcasing weapons, paintings, sculptures, and other artifacts. After touring the palace, enjoy the scenic beauty around the palace campus.
Next, take a trip to Wonderla Amusement Park, an iconic destination for tourists and locals alike. The park offers a range of water and land thrill rides that are safe for the whole family. From wave pools to rollercoasters, there's something for everyone. You can also try some mouth-watering foods from the food stalls inside the park.
For an additional day, visit the Chinese Fishing Nets and the nearby shops and restaurants, or spend the day at the serene Kerala Backwaters and have a picnic amidst the blissful nature.
If you have less time, consider skipping Wonderla Amusement Park or Hill Palace Museum, or hire a cab to maximize the time spent at each location.
