Start your day early and drive towards the Kalu Waterfall, which is located amidst the Western Ghats. The waterfall is a three-tier waterfall, and it takes a small hike to reach. The waterfall is surrounded by lush greenery, and you can take a dip in the waterfall's cool waters. You can also indulge in trekking and camping around the waterfall.
Start your day early and drive towards the Harihar Fort, which is known for its trekking trails. The fort is located on a hilltop, and you need to hike to reach the top. The fort is in ruins, but the view from the top is breathtaking. The trek is moderately difficult, and it takes around 2 hours to reach the top. Don't forget to carry water and some snacks for the hike.
If you have an extra day, you can visit the Thibaw Palace, which was the residence of the last king of Burma. For foodies, Ratnagiri is famous for its Alphonso mangoes, seafood, and Kokam juice. Also, carry comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle when you go trekking to Kalu Waterfall and Harihar Fort. If you have less than three days, you can skip Kalu Waterfall and add a visit to the Gateway of Ratnagiri and Bhatye Beach to your itinerary.
