Start your journey by leaving early morning from Chennai and head towards Bangalore. On the way, stop at Vellore Fort which is a 16th-century fort that gives you a glimpse of the bygone era. After that, proceed to Mt. Elumallai, which is a beautiful hill site. Once you arrive at Bangalore, spend the evening pub crawling in one of the many trendy spots Bangalore has to offer.
On Day 2, visit Mysore Palace, which is a beautiful palace known for its magnificent architecture. After that, stop by the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary for an amazing elephant ride followed by a small trek and bird watching. End the night in Wayanad with a relaxing bonfire and drinks.
On the final day, head towards the Edakkal Caves which is a prehistoric site where cave paintings are believed to be from the last 8000 years. After that, take a detour to the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India with a magnificent view of the surrounding hills. Then proceed to Chennai for a late-night arrival.
If you have more time, consider stopping at the Bangalore Palace for a visit. If you have less time, consider skipping Vellore Fort and Mt. Elumallai. Instead, leave earlier and visit the Bandipur National Park. Also, keep in mind that the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary and the Edakkal Caves closed on Mondays, so plan accordingly.
