Exploring Kodaikkanal: A 3-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Coaker's Walk and Bryant Park

    Coaker's Walk is a scenic trekking trail that offers breathtaking views of the valley. The 1-kilometer paved path was built in 1872 by Lt. Coaker, and it is accessible from the Kodaikanal Lake. There is also a glasshouse that showcases rare varieties of flowers and ferns.

    First on the list is the Pillar Rocks, a set of three giant rock pillars that stand at a height of 400 feet. The view from the top is stunning, and it is the perfect spot for a group picture. After admiring the natural beauty, head to the Guna Caves, also known as the Devil's Kitchen. The cave system is famous for its intricate rock formations with unique shapes. The caves were named after a Tamil movie, Guna, which was shot here.

  3. Day 3: Kodaikanal Lake and Bear Shola Falls

    Begin the day by visiting the Kodaikanal Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by lush greenery. The lake is perfect for a peaceful boating experience, and several shops around the lake offer various snacks and drinks. Next, head to the serene Bear Shola Falls, a refreshing waterfall surrounded by dense forests. The falls are named after a legend that bears used to drink water from this fall.
