The second day of your romantic Kochi trip will be spent exploring the famous backwaters and enjoying a houseboat ride with stunning views. Start with the Backwaters of Alleppey that feature a labyrinth of lagoons, canals and lakes, fringed by swaying coconut palms. If you have more time, do visit the famous Mattancherry Palace, popularly known as the Dutch Palace. Explore the various rooms of the palace, which feature stunning murals, beautiful architecture and antique furniture. If you have an extra day, plan a trip to the hill station of Munnar and the Athirapally waterfalls. If you have less time, you can skip Jew Town Markets or shopping as per your priorities.
