Start your day getting up close with nature at the Bannerghatta Biological Park. This protected area spans across 105 square kilometres and houses an array of flora and fauna. Take a guided trek through the park where you can spot tigers, lions, elephants, and bears or choose to go on an evening safari. Don't miss visiting the butterfly park, an enclosed area where you will see over 20 species of butterflies native to India.
Take a scenic drive to the Nandi Hills, a popular spot for sunset watching. Located at an altitude of 1,455 metres above sea level, you'll get a panoramic view of the surrounding green hills. Get some exercise by taking a trek to the top or ride a bicycle around the hills. Don't miss visiting the ancient Nandi temple located at the top.
Start your second day at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, a 240-acre garden in the heart of the city. The garden boasts over 1,000 species of plants and is home to the famous glasshouse which was modeled after the Crystal Palace in London. Take a leisurely stroll through the garden or rent a boat to paddle around the lake. Don't miss the rose garden and the bonsai garden.
End your nature adventure with a visit to the Ramanagara Hills, famous for its granite hills and wildlife population. This hilly town is known for its association with the movie Sholay and is a popular spot for trekking, bird watching, and rock climbing. Don't miss the Vulture Sanctuary, a conservation area for Indian vultures.
If you have more time, you can visit the nearby Big Banyan Tree or take a day trip to the nearby Kabini river to spot some wildlife. If you have less time, you can skip Ramanagara hills and visit Cubbon Park in the city centre instead which is also a popular spot for nature lovers.
