Coonoor is a beautiful hill station that should definitely be on your list when visiting Tamil Nadu. Start off by visiting the Sims Park, which is a botanical garden that is home to a wide variety of plants and trees. Next, visit the Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint, which offers stunning views of the Nilgiri Hills. End your day with a visit to the Highfield Tea Factory, where you can learn about the tea-making process and sample different blends.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by spending a day in Megamalai. Start your day with a trek to the Suruli Falls, which is a picturesque waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Next, visit the Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can see animals such as leopards, elephants and gaurs. End your day with a visit to the Megamalai Tea Estate, where you can learn about the tea-making process and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea.
Return to Coonoor for your last day of the trip. Start your day with a visit to the Lambs Rock, which offers breathtaking views of the Coimbatore plains. Next, head to the Toy Train Station, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and take a ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Finally, visit the Sim's Park Market and shop for souvenirs and locally-made products.
If you have more time, consider visiting other hill stations such as Ooty or Kodaikanal. If you have less time, consider skipping Megamalai and spending an extra day in Coonoor.
