The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is spread across 14 acres and provides an excellent opportunity to spot a variety of migratory birds. Take a guided boat tour through the sanctuary or walk around the trails. The best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon when the birds are most active.
Kumarakom Beach is an ideal spot to relax and unwind. Take a stroll on the sandy beach or indulge in some water sports such as surfing or parasailing. There are also local food stalls serving delicious seafood and snacks.
Take a cruise along the serene backwaters of Alleppey and enjoy the scenic beauty of the coconut groves and paddy fields. You can choose from a range of options such as motorboats, houseboats or canoes. Don't forget to try the traditional Kerala cuisine served on board the boats.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Kumarakom Backwaters or the Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. If you have less time, skip Kumarakom Beach and spend more time at the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Don't forget to carry sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats during the day, as it can get hot and humid.
