Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is a 240 sq. km park located in Sanguem, Goa. It houses many species such as the Bengal tiger, black panther, elephant, and a variety of birds. Spend the day exploring the lush greenery and wildlife. You can even opt for a jeep safari which takes you deep into the park.
Dudhsagar falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi river, situated in Mollem National Park. It is a mesmerizing sight and is surrounded by lush green forests. Apart from the waterfall, you can also visit the national park to get a glimpse of various species of flora and fauna.
Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on the western tip of the island of Chorao, along the Mandovi river. It is home to a variety of Indian birds such as the Drongo, egrets, cormorants, and kingfishers. Take a boat ride around the sanctuary to catch a glimpse of these birds in their natural habitat. After that, head to Divar island, a small and serene village island with scenic views and a serene atmosphere.
For more nature spots in Goa, you can add a visit to the Netravali Biodiversity Park or Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary. If you have more time, you can extend your stay in each location to get a more in-depth experience. However, if you have less time, skip one location to have a more relaxed trip. Make sure to carry snacks and water bottles for your trip as you will not find many restaurants on the route.
