Start early from Salem to visit the ancient 7th-century Arapaleeswarar Temple and witness the unique architecture and rich cultural heritage. Next, head to the Siddhar Caves, a hidden gem of Kolli Hills where ancient Tamil Siddhars used to meditate. Take a short trek from here to the enchanting Masila Falls. Surrounded by greenery, this beautiful cascading waterfall offers a refreshing experience.
Start early from Semmedu and hike towards the Aakasa Gangai Falls, the trek is about 4kms long, and you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the waterfall at the end. After that, trek to Agaya Gangai Waterfalls for another beautiful location. Wind up the day by visiting the Botanical Garden, spread across 200 acres of lush greenery, it houses over 300 species of medicinal plants and offers a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
Start early and head towards Puliancholai. Go boating in the Puliancholai Lake and enjoy nature's beauty from the center of the lake. Next, trek towards the breathtaking Maharaja Waterfall, which is about 6 km away from the lake. To complete the day, visit the Kolli Hills viewpoint, experience the mesmerizing view of the hills and valleys.
For those who want to spend more time relaxing, you could spend an extra day at the Botanical Garden, wandering through its zones, enjoying the pleasantries of nature and you can also visit the Vasalurpatty Boat House and go for a long boat ride.
For those who would like more adventure, you could head towards Kumbakkarai Waterfalls and enjoy thrilling trekking, rafting and camping as it's an excellent place for adventurers to spend the night.
