Istiqlal Mosque is the national mosque of Indonesia and is located right across the street from the Catholic Jakarta Cathedral. The mosque is open to visitors outside of prayer times and is an impressive building that showcases Indonesia's rich Islamic cultural heritage.
Located in the Old Town of Jakarta, the Jakarta History Museum is housed in the former city hall building, which was built during the Dutch colonial era. The museum displays Jakarta's cultural and historical heritage, including many ancient artifacts.

If you have more time, you can visit some of Jakarta's other museums such as the Museum Nasional or enjoy a performance at the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.
